What Exorcists Want You to Know: Ouija, Tarot, Yoga, WitchTok 29 Oct 2026

🌹 Rosaries, Catholic apparel, and gifts from our sponsor Abundantly Yours: https://abundantlyyours.org/aftermass The same company that makes Candy Land sells a board for talking to the dead. Exorcists warn that Ouija boards, tarot cards, horoscopes, “healing” crystals, and WitchTok are some of the most common doors into demonic trouble, and most people think they’re harmless. In this episode we look at the surprising history behind each one (including the hoax that started Spiritualism and the made-up origin of tarot), what the Catechism actually teaches about divination and magic, what exorcists say happens when these doors get opened, and exactly what to do if you’ve already used them. St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Scripture referenced: Deuteronomy 18, 1 Samuel 28, Acts 16, Acts 19. #Exorcist #SpiritualWarfare #Ouija #Tarot #WitchTok #Catholic #AfterMass

Why You Can’t Stop Sinning, According to Science 27 Oct 2026

🌹 Rosaries, Catholic apparel, and gifts from our sponsor Abundantly Yours: https://abundantlyyours.org/aftermass Why do we keep confessing the same sins over and over? Neuroscience has discovered that the brain physically changes based on what we repeatedly do, and St. Augustine described the exact same experience 1,600 years ago. In this episode we look at the famous study of London taxi drivers’ brains, how habit loops, cues, and dopamine work, why your phone is designed to be hard to put down, and what the Church has always taught about vice, virtue, and grace. You’ll learn why “21 days to form a habit” is a myth, what a real study found instead, what researchers saw in the brains of praying nuns, and a practical five-step plan for breaking a sin habit, including St. Ignatius’s particular examen. A Pastor Had Kids Smash Mary Statues. Here’s Who She Really Is. 19 Oct 2026

This episode is brought to you by Abundantly Yours.. where I get all my rosaries, Catholic apparel and gifts! Find them here: abundantlyyours.org/aftermass Mary might be the most misunderstood woman who ever lived. Some say Catholics worship her, some treat her as a side character in the Gospel, and some worry that loving her takes something away from Jesus. With images of Mary in the headlines this week, it’s a good time to go back to Scripture and the Church and look at who she really is. Scripture referenced: Exodus 25, Numbers 21, 2 Kings 18, 1 Kings 2 and 6, 2 Samuel 6, Genesis 3:15, Luke 1, John 2, John 19, Revelation 11–12 In this episode, I mention the incident that recently took place at Stedfast Baptist Church. Instead of making a reaction video that would not reach them, I decided to write them an email. Here is the email below: Jonathan Shelley and the staff of Stedfast Baptist Church, You stood in front of a room full of children, had them read the Word of God aloud, and then put a hammer in their hands and told them to smash the mother of Jesus Christ. I've watched a great deal of anti-Catholic content over the years, and I've rarely seen anything so cowardly, because you didn't even swing the hammer yourself. You handed it to children and let them carry it for you. You read them half a commandment. The very next verse says, "Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them," and a few chapters later the same God commands Moses to fashion golden cherubim for the Ark of the Covenant. He has Moses lift up a serpent of brass so the people who looked on it would live, and Jesus Himself points to that image as a figure of His Cross in John 3:14. Solomon carved cherubim and flowers across every wall of the temple, and the glory of the Lord filled it. Any pastor who preaches from the King James every Sunday knows these passages are there, which means those children were handed a carefully edited Bible right before they were handed a hammer. The woman whose image they destroyed is the one Scripture says all generations shall call blessed. On the very same Sunday, October 11, your church posted a sermon titled "Obey Mom And Dad Like Your Life Depends On It," and I'd love to know how you explained that one to the same children who had just taken a hammer to the mother of Jesus. Christ kept the commandment to honor His mother more perfectly than any man who has ever lived, so you spent one sermon telling those kids to honor their mothers and another teaching them to smash His. I'd ask you to imagine standing before Him and explaining that. Our Lord had something to say about the people responsible for children. He said that whoever causes one of these little ones to stumble would be better off with a millstone hung about his neck and drowned in the depth of the sea (Matthew 18:6). Those children trusted you. They will grow up with Catholic classmates, coworkers, neighbors, and maybe one day a Catholic husband or wife and the first thing their pastor ever taught them about those people was to pick up a hammer. That's a sin against them and they'll carry it long after the plaster is swept up. #Catholic #VirginMary #BlessedMother #CatholicApologetics #AfterMass

The Church Allowed the Death Penalty for Centuries. So Why Is It Wrong Now? 13 Oct 2026

🌹 Custom baby & children’s rosary sale starts 10/15, the biggest of the year! Shop Abundantly Yours: https://abundantlyyours.org/aftermass The Pentagon plans to livestream the December firing-squad execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan, which would be the first public execution in America in 90 years. The U.S. bishops called it “a barbaric promotion of a culture of death,” and the archbishop for the military told Catholic soldiers to ask to be excused. Online, many Catholics are pushing back, pointing out that Scripture, the Church Fathers, St. Thomas Aquinas, and even popes once accepted capital punishment. So is the Church contradicting herself? Today we go through what the Church actually taught, how doctrine develops, the honest debate over the word “inadmissible,” and why even the strongest defenders of the death penalty in Catholic history never defended making it a spectacle. Please pray for the victims of the Fort Hood shooting and their families. Our Lady of Good Counsel, pray for us. #Catholic #DeathPenalty #ChurchTeaching #CultureOfLife #AfterMass

LIFE/CHANNEL UPDATE. 02 Sep 2026

AFTERMASS: https://aftermass.org FREE MONTHLY NEWSLETTER: https://aftermass.org/#newsletter Taking September off from YouTube + the podcast 🤍 I’m giving myself the month of September to spend some real time working on AfterMass and a few other projects that have been sitting in my brain for a very long time. One of the biggest things I’m working on is aftermass.org. My hope is to build it into a real Catholic hub for everything that happens after Mass ends. Resources to help you understand the faith, live the liturgical year, pray, learn, wrestle with the questions you’ve been afraid to ask and actually bring Catholicism into your everyday life. I’ve also started the AfterMass Monthly, a free newsletter that comes out at the beginning of each month with the month’s important liturgical dates, a Gospel reflection, saint of the month, a Catholic question answered, an examination of conscience, what’s coming next and more. September’s issue is out now, so make sure you sign up above to get it. 🤍 And then there are a few other things happening behind the scenes... I’m writing a lot. I’ve heard the “Ana, when are you going to write a book?” comments for a long time lol. That’s all I’m saying about that for now. 👀 I have ideas and projects that I keep saying I’ll get to “when I have time” and I finally realized I have to actually make the time. So September is my month to build, write, create, pray about where all of this is going and get some things ready that I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I’ll still be around on Instagram and there will be plenty happening over at AfterMass. YouTube + the podcast will be back in October. 🤍

The Ancient Israelite Law That Explains Mary's Crown 21 Aug 2026

Tomorrow, August 22, the Church celebrates the Queenship of Mary, eight days after the Assumption. Most Catholics have said "Hail, Holy Queen" hundreds of times without knowing where that title actually comes from or what it means in practice. The answer isn't in medieval royal courts. It's in the ancient Israelite office of the gebirah, the king's mother, the one figure with the standing to bring a request to the throne and be heard. This video traces that office from Solomon and Bathsheba in 1 Kings, through Pope Pius XII's 1954 encyclical establishing the feast, to what it actually means to ask for Mary's intercession today. If you've ever wondered whether praying to Mary is a workaround instead of going straight to God, this explains why the answer is no, and gives you a clearer way to pray the Hail Holy Queen this week.

Padre Pio Reveals the Sin Almost Nobody Confesses 20 Aug 2026

Padre Pio spent decades hearing confessions, and the sin he came back to most wasn't the one people expected. It was gossip, and more specifically what the Church calls detraction and calumny, revealing or fabricating things about someone who isn't in the room. This video breaks down the difference between rash judgment, detraction and calumny, why truth isn't a defense against it, and a simple test you can run before you speak about someone who isn't there. It also covers where the line is when you're talking about real harm someone did to you, since that's a different category entirely. Examine your conscience this week for the conversations you'd never repeat if the person walked in and heard you.

Scientists Measured What The Rosary Does To Your Heart and Brain 19 Aug 2026

A team of Italian cardiologists put people on heart monitors and had them pray the rosary in Latin. What they measured surprised even the researchers: praying it at a normal pace slowed people's breathing to almost exactly six breaths a minute, a rate where the heart and blood pressure systems fall into sync. Separately, neuroscientist Dr. Andrew Newberg used brain scans to study what happens during repetitive, verbal prayer like this and found something worth knowing if you've ever finished a rosary feeling like your mind never showed up. This video walks through both studies and what they actually mean, without turning the rosary into a breathing exercise or claiming science can measure grace. It can't.. but it can tell you that a distracted, dry rosary is doing something real in your body whether you feel it or not. Fr. Mike Schmitz Explains What You Need To Know About Purgatory 18 Aug 2026

Purgatory gets treated two ways: either as an overcomplicated invention or as something Scripture never actually supports. Both are wrong. Drawing on a video Fr. Mike Schmitz made years ago on Ascension Presents, I break down what purgatory actually is: three simple claims, real scriptural backing (1 Corinthians 3, 2 Maccabees 12) and why it's less about punishment and more about mercy finishing what it started. If you've ever wondered what happens to someone you love after they die.. or wondered what to actually do about it.. this one's for you. 🔗 Fr. This Simple Practice Has Transformed My Suffering 17 Aug 2026

What if the inconveniences, exhaustion, and suffering you experience every day could actually become prayer? I first heard this practice from Catholic author and speaker Megan Hjelmstad at the Defending the Faith Conference at Franciscan University. Megan is the author of Offer It Up: Discovering the Power and Purpose of Redemptive Suffering, and her approach completely changed the way I think about the ordinary hard moments of my week. The 40 Days St. Francis and Padre Pio Both Took Seriously 13 Aug 2026

St. Francis fasted 40 days every year and it left wounds that never healed. Padre Pio kept the same devotion for the same reason. It's called St. Michael's Lent. It starts this Saturday, August 15th and almost no Catholic outside Franciscan circles has heard of it. In this episode I cover the apparitions at Monte Gargano that started it all. The pope who added a prayer to every Mass after a vision that shook him. And why both saints saw St. Michael as a direct ally in spiritual battle. Scrupulosity Explained: Is It a Sin or Is It OCD? 12 Aug 2026

Saint Ignatius of Loyola once considered walking off a cliff because he couldn't stop confessing sins he wasn't even sure he'd committed. That's scrupulosity and it's more common than most Catholics realize. In this video: what scrupulosity actually is, how it's different from a normal working conscience, where religious OCD fits into the picture, what saints like Ignatius and Alphonsus Liguori actually did about it, and what real, practical help looks like.. spiritually and clinically. If any part of this sounds like your own experience, please don't sit with it alone. Things Your Guardian Angel Can and Can’t Do 11 Aug 2026

Can your guardian angel read your mind? See your dreams? Know your future? Can you name your guardian angel, and what happens to your angel when you die? Catholic teaching on guardian angels is a lot more specific than most people realize. In this video, we're going through 13 questions about guardian angels, from what St. Thomas Aquinas taught about their knowledge and abilities to what Scripture and Catholic tradition tell us about their role in our lives. We’ll also talk about whether animals have guardian angels, whether twins share one, whether your angel can physically protect you, what St. Gemma Galgani and Padre Pio said about their guardian angels, and why the Church discourages Catholics from naming them. Guardian angels aren't just a nice Catholic idea. Their entire mission is ordered toward helping us get to heaven, and understanding what they actually can and can't do makes that reality even more fascinating.

The 4 Catholic Temperaments Explained: Your Strengths, Vices & Virtues 10 Aug 2026

Are you sanguine, choleric, melancholic, or phlegmatic? The four temperaments have been used by Catholic spiritual writers for centuries as a way of understanding our natural strengths, weaknesses, and patterns in the spiritual life. In this episode, we break down all four temperaments, where the framework came from and what each one can reveal about the particular virtues and vices you may need to pay attention to.We’ll cover the sanguine, choleric, melancholic, and phlegmatic temperaments, including their strengths, common spiritual struggles, dominant vices, corresponding virtues and how your temperament can affect prayer, relationships, discipline, leadership and your examination of conscience. The four temperaments are not Catholic doctrine and they don't determine who you are or how holy you can become. Think of them as a tool for understanding the raw material you're working with and where your particular spiritual battles may be. What Will Heaven Actually Be Like? Fr. Ripperger Explains 08 Aug 2026

Fr. Chad Ripperger recently sat down with Shawn Ryan and shared some fascinating Catholic theology about what awaits us after death. Will we interact with relatives who have died? Will we really see our entire family lineage? Did Jesus have a guardian angel? And what does God’s mercy actually look like from the perspective of eternity? In this video, I’m breaking down some of the most interesting parts of their conversation, including what Fr. Ripperger says about our ancestors, the intercession of those who have gone before us, St. Thomas Aquinas on guardian angels, and St. Augustine on why God’s mercy endures forever.

Fr. Chad Ripperger Explains How Guardian Angels Speak to You 05 Aug 2026

Have you ever wondered how your guardian angel communicates with you? In this video, we break down Fr. Chad Ripperger's explanation of how guardian angels interact with us, how to speak to your guardian angel, and how to recognize the difference between angelic promptings and spiritual deception. This may completely change the way you pray.

You Fast Twice a Year. That's Why You're Stuck. 04 Aug 2026

Most Catholics fast twice a year and wonder why the same sin is still sitting there untouched. Fasting isn't a diet or a once-a-year obligation, it's a weapon most of us have never picked up. In this video: the actual mechanics of why fasting works, how to start (even if you've never fasted before), and why Christ paired it with prayer for a reason. 🕊️ New videos every week - subscribe for more on saints, apologetics, and living your faith beyond Sunday Mass.

What Happens to Your Soul in the First Hour After You Die 29 Jul 2026

What actually happens to your soul in the first hour after death? Not the funeral or the grieving, the soul itself. In this video I walk through what the Church actually teaches: the particular judgment that happens immediately at death, why purgatory isn't a punishment but a purification, what the saints and mystics have said about that first encounter with Christ, and the role your guardian angel plays at the moment of death. I also cover why prayer for the dead matters and why the daily examination of conscience is one of the best ways to prepare for what's coming. There's no waiting room, no soul sleep. Total clarity arrives the instant you die, and that changes how you should be living right now. #Catholic #Death #Purgatory

Fr. Chad Ripperger: What Really Happens in the First 5 Minutes of an Exorcism 28 Jul 2026

Fr. Chad Ripperger, one of the most experienced exorcists working today, has talked openly about what actually happens in the first minutes of an exorcism, and it's nothing like the movies. No screaming, no spectacle. In this video I break down the quiet, disciplined process behind it: the months or years of Church discernment that happen before anyone ever enters the room, the three specific signs the Church actually looks for, why the priest's own spiritual preparation matters as much as his authority, and the real difference between a formal exorcism and the more common deliverance prayer. This isn't Hollywood. It's the actual, ordinary authority of the Church, and it's more relevant to your own spiritual life than you'd think. #Catholic #Exorcism #SpiritualWarfare

In this video I walk through the entire structure of the Mass, piece by piece: the Introductory Rites, the Liturgy of the Word, the Liturgy of the Eucharist, and the Concluding Rite - and what's actually happening (and being asked of you) at every stage. I also break down why daily Mass matters just as much as Sunday, even though it looks stripped down. If you've ever gone through the motions without knowing what they mean, this is for you. #Catholic #Mass #Catholicism

I Changed How I Receive. Here's Why. 16 Jul 2026

Most Catholics have never been taught the real history behind how we receive communion, or that the "old-fashioned" option is actually still the universal norm. I'm sharing what changed for me, the Eucharistic fast most people don't know existed and being honest about the part of this I haven't fully done yet either. 🕊️ Subscribe for more AfterMass #catholic #eucharist #holycommunion #reversion

The Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel - July 16, 2026 15 Jul 2026

"Whosoever dies wearing this scapular shall not suffer eternal fire." That's what Mary said to St. Simon Stock in 1251. This Thursday, July 16th, is the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the day the Church commemorates that apparition. In this video I explain what the Brown Scapular actually is, what Mary promised, and why wearing it isn't as simple as just putting it on. Enrollment, the conditions the Church asks for, and why this devotion has been carried by saints and popes for centuries. #BrownScapular #OurLadyOfMountCarmel #CatholicTikTok #Catholic

The Sin I Struggle With Most as a Catholic 13 Jul 2026

I used to think this was too small to confess. I was wrong. This isn't about explosive anger, no yelling, no scenes. This is about the sharp comment, the edge in your tone, the words you'd never write down and show someone. Scripture calls it out directly in James 3. St. Francis de Sales built his entire pastoral counsel around it. St. John Chrysostom said it's worse when it's aimed at the people who trust us most. And St. Ignatius of Loyola's Examen shows exactly where it starts.. long before the word ever leaves your mouth. If you've ever felt in control on the outside while something sharp was building underneath, this one's for you. What Vatican II Actually Said (And Why Catholics Still Argue About It) 10 Jul 2026

Vatican II is probably the most debated event in modern Catholic history. Some Catholics blame it for everything. Others defend every change that followed it. But very few people have actually read the documents themselves. In this video, we walk through: • Why Vatican II was called• What the Council actually taught• The four constitutions every Catholic should know• What changed after the Council... and what didn't• Why Pope Benedict XVI said Vatican II was being misunderstood• Why Catholics are still debating it more than 60 years later Whether you've been confused by conversations about the Traditional Latin Mass, the Novus Ordo, ecumenism, or religious liberty, my hope is that this gives you a grounded starting point based on the Council itself. The documents are public. Read them. Then decide for yourself. The Vision That Explains What Happens After Your Last Breath (St. Faustina's Vision) 09 Jul 2026

St. Faustina Kowalska was given a vision of standing before the judgment seat of God, seeing her own soul completely exposed the way God sees it. In this video, we walk through what she saw about the moment of death, the 3 calls Jesus makes to every soul before it dies, and why the Vatican actually banned her writings for almost twenty years before canonizing her. This isn't about fear for its own sake. It's about understanding particular judgment, final judgment and why God's mercy is more patient than we deserve, but not infinite in the way we assume. If you've ever wondered what actually happens the moment you die, what particular judgment means, or why the Church teaches what she does about judgment and mercy, this video breaks it down clearly, using St. Faustina's own Diary and the Church's actual teaching. 🕊️ Subscribe for more videos on Catholic saints, mystics and the truths the Church doesn't shy away from. 📖 Referenced: Diary of St. Faustina Kowalska, Catechism of the Catholic Church #StFaustina #DivineMercy #CatholicTikTok #Purgatory #ParticularJudgment #CatholicFaith #Catholicism #AfterMassWithAna

Why the Trad Wife Movement Doesn't Actually Feel "Traditional" Or Christian 08 Jul 2026

Trad wife content is everywhere right now - Savanna Faith Stone, Ballerina Farm, Nara Smith, Estee Williams - and people are picking a side and telling us to pick a side but I'm not picking a side. I think the real problem isn't the lifestyle, it's the posture. In this video I break down what's actually going on with the loudest voices in this movement, why some of their "hot takes" are more calculated than they look, and why I think the goal was never trad wife or feminist.. it's becoming a godly woman, and that's a completely different question. #tradwife #catholic #christianwomen

Every Catholic Should Know This Before July 4th 03 Jul 2026

Happy Fourth of July. Most Americans know the names George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and John Adams. But almost nobody knows the story of the Catholic family that helped shape the United States from its very beginning. In this video, we look at the remarkable lives of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, the only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence, Daniel Carroll, who helped write and sign the Constitution, and Bishop John Carroll, America's first Catholic bishop and founder of Georgetown University. At a time when Catholics couldn't vote, hold public office, or openly practice their faith in many of the colonies, these men helped lay the foundations of the nation we celebrate today. If you're Catholic, this is part of your history. If you enjoyed this video, I'd love for you to subscribe and share it with someone before the Fourth of July. There's a good chance they've never heard this story either. God bless you, and Happy Independence Day. 🇺🇸✝️

Scientists Discovered What Happens When You Write Scripture by Hand 02 Jul 2026

What if one of the simplest spiritual practices was also one of the most powerful for your brain? Recent neuroscience has found that writing by hand activates your brain in ways typing simply doesn't. Memory improves. Learning deepens. New neural connections form. But here's what's fascinating: Christians have been writing Scripture by hand for centuries. Sometimes the oldest Christian practices turn out to be the wisest. Cardinal McElroy Removed Fr. Rossetti.. Was It Fair? 25 Jun 2026

Monsignor Rossetti is a 74 year old exorcist with 50 years of ministry. He posted a 5 minute Facebook video sharing a personal opinion about UFOs and four days later everything he built was gone. Another exorcist said the exact same thing to 2.5 million people and faced no consequences. But what stood out most was that Monsignor Rossetti didn't fight back, didn't rally his 150,000 followers and didn't make it about whether the decision was fair. He just said "I'm sorry" and kept going and I think that's a story worth telling. #catholic #christian #catholicchurch
